EAR / PILAR RM MAC users

PILAR is a tool developed in Java. Porting to Mac is done using a jar file.

Java is usually availble in Mac devices, or can be downloaded from Internet.

In order to use pilar in a macosx device

1. download the linux distribution: a zip file
2. unzip the zip file in any directory where you have rights to write and execute
3. run java

In order to run java you may need a terminal window, go to the directory where you unzipped the zip distribution, and execute a command like this

    java -jar pilar_basic.jar

it may be convenient to encapsulate the previous command into a short shell script
