Maintenance service (optional)
For an annual fee of 20% of the selling price, access is granted to new versions (e.g. from 5.x to 6.y).
Software versions are labelled with 3 numbers: V.y.z.
These numbers are assigned in increasing order and correspond to new developments in the software.
The patch number is incremented for minor changes and bug fixes which do not change the software's application programming interface (API).
The minor version is incremented for releases which add new minor API features.
The major version is incremented for releases which do change API features.
Major version makes a difference for license validity as stated above.
Backward compatibility permits to read (load) projects developed with previous versions.
