Flotating licenses
PILAR licenses are floating:
when a user starts PILAR, the equipment is assigned a license for a period of 24 hours,
after which the license becomes available to another equipment.
This is often referred to as a "rental mechanism."
Licenses are tied to a computer,
and can be used by multiple people on the same computer.
Multi-user licenses establish a maximum number of users; that is, the maximum number of licenses rented at any given time.
